Student Success

Flint Hill Elementary School’s Advanced Academic Program is dedicated to challenging and nurturing advanced learners. As a local full-time program, our teachers engage students in a continuum of opportunities for critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration across subjects. 

Purple Star School

Flint Hill Elementary School has been recognized as a Purple Star School for our dedication to helping military-connected students and their families. We celebrate and support our military-connected families through special events and activities, including during the Month of the Military Child. 

Special Education Supports

Our special education and school staff foster an inclusive learning community which embraces the unique needs and strengths of our students. We focus on academic and social-emotional success through evidence-based interventions, instruction, and strategies. We believe every student can thrive!

Sparking Curiosity

Flint Hill Elementary School has a number of activities to help students find their passions and build their leadership skills, including Band, Chorus, Strings, the Orff Percussion Ensemble Program, Student Council Association, Foreign Language Experience (FLES) Program, and more!

Eco Leadership

Flint Hill Elementary School is one of only 56 schools in the nation to receive the National Wildlife Federation’s Green Flag award for our sustainability

 efforts! Our Get2Green program empowers students to make a positive impact on our community through hands-on projects and learning about sustainability, waste reduction, energy conservation, and environmental stewardship.

Art for All

The Flint Hill Elementary School community celebrates the visual arts with enormous community support and involvement! During the annual Art Gala, families are invited to see artwork created by each one of our K-6 students. During our annual Empty Bowls event, students eat lunch out of a handcrafted ceramic bowl and our community donates canned goods to Food for Others.

School Spirit and School Wellness!

We have a number of events which promote physical fitness, school spirit, and teamwork throughout the year. These include the Flint Hill Elementary School Turkey Trot, Walk, Bike & Roll to School days, and Field Day.

Celebrating Diversity 

We have year-round initiatives to create a warm and welcoming school for all, including opportunities for students and families to share their cultural heritage, holidays, and art through videos, display cases, and Heritage and Traditions Night.

Strong Family-School Partnerships

Our wonderful Flint Hill Elementary School PTA engages students and families with annual community events such as Pumpkin Bingo, Staff Basketball Games, Heritage and Traditions Night, Spelling Bee and more! PTA support has also provided us with new technology and learning resources for students and staff. 

Mentoring Program

The MentorWorks program at Flint Hill Elementary School helps eliminate gaps in opportunity, access, and achievement. Students are paired with staff mentors for weekly school meetings which provide support, connection, and self-confidence.
